Sunday Sneak Peek & A Chance To Win!

My two newest kits, set to hit the Brownie Scraps store on Tuesday, were inspired by a party
I’m helping throw my childhood friend next week.  I’m thankful to be able to help someone I
love and adore celebrate one of life’s “tiny little miracles“.
I can’t wait for you to see the full preview of both kits, or the gorgeous layouts my super
talentedcreative team have been working hard on.  Until Tuesday, though, here’s a little
sneak peek of both new kits:

Friday Freebie! :)

I think I made it well aware how much I LOVED my last kit, Boys and Bugs.
Obviously my talented creative team gals liked it, too, because besides the wonderful
layouts they created with it, I’ve now got another gorgeous freebie to go along
with it.  These two beautiful paper stack freebies were created by my very
talented member, Sharon.  Aren’t they just gorgeous?!?

How to Make a Cutout Title?

Hi Everyone, Crystal here, one of the newest members of Blue Heart Scraps CT and I have a tutorial for you.

This tutorial was created using PSE9. It also works with CS5 (there will be one thing you have to add when using CS5, and the tutorial will let you know where that will be). All images in the tutorial can be clicked on so that you can see them better.
Tutorial By: Crystal Porter (krystlbear)

Here is a screenshot with labels so that you what I’m referring to throughout the tutorial:

I like to make sure that I have my font and font size already selected before I start on my cutout title.
In the tools window there is a “Text Tool” if you hold it down it gives you 4 different options. Click on “Horizontal Type Mask Tool”.
Now you are ready to type your text (that you want cutout) into your layout. Type the title and then you can move your text the position that you want it. “Marching Ants” will appear around your text.
Now in your layers window click on the paper that you want to cut out
PSE users-Click “Edit” from the menu bar and then click on “Cut”.
CS5 users-Right Click on the paper that you have selected in the previous step and rasterize. Then in the menu bar click “Edit” and then “Cut”.
Your title should now be cutout. Make sure to add shadowing to your papers so that you can tell that it has been cutout.

Do YOU Have Your Addicts Membership Yet?

Today is the LAST day to get the June Addicts Club Membership for only $7.
Tomorrow it goes up to $10 (but that is still an awesome deal!)
You can purchase your June Addicts Membership today by clicking here.
Here’s what you get:
Tomorrow I’ll show you a sneak peek all the goodies you’ll be collecting if you join!

Friday Freebie and A Sale!

I had set this up to automatically post this morning, but I see it never did.  Oh well, it’s
still Friday here, so all is good.  🙂
Happy Friday all!  Anybody have great plans for this holiday weekend?
It will be a weekend full of TaeKwonDo, cookouts and family fun here, and I couldn’t
be more excited.  In honor of the Memorial Day weekend, I thought it was the perfect
time to have a little sale at my Brownie Scraps store.  From now through Monday
everything in my store is 35% off.  Nothing like celebrating with a little extra change in
your pocket, right?  Simply click the sale ad below to visit my store.
Today’s freebie is something a little different from me.  I’ve always been a fan of templates,
and consider them an excellent mojo motivator when you’re caught in a scrapping rut.
But, I’ve only recently given creating them a try.  My first template freebie is below.
If you download it, I’d LOVE to see what you create with it.  If you’d like to see more,
please let me know.  I know I had fun creating this one.  🙂

New Release, Winner & Freebie!

My newest release, Boys and Bugs is now the Brownie Scraps store.
As always, new releases are on sale for 25% off for Tuesday only!
I must admit, this is probably my favorite kit so far.  Not only are the little boys and
bugs positively adorable, but it really captures the bright, carefree spirit of my boys.
I can’t wait to see all of the wonderful goodies you create with it! 🙂
Thanks so much for the contest entries on the last post.  I used Random.org to select a winner.
Congrats, andastra!  I’ll PM your code to you at the Brownie Scraps forum for shortly!
I don’t think I had ever heard of the color petrol (at least, not that name) – but a quick
google search brought up a gorgeous shade of blueish-green.  No wonder it’s your favorite!
Today’s freebie is a cluster frame that coordinates with my newest release.  Enjoy!  🙂

And, last but not least, some beautiful layouts created by my Creative Team
and the Brownie Surpemes for inspiration:

Sunday Sneak Peek & A Chance To Win

My newest kit, set to hit the Brownie Scraps store on Tuesday, was inspired by my two
adorable little boys and their love for bright colors.  It’s funny to count how many times a day one
of them will declare a color their “favorite color”, but then declare another color their “favorite
color” just 5 minutes later.  I love bright colors, too.  I’m not your typical girly-girl pink and purple
lover – I’m more of a red/green/blue girl.  And trust me, there are lots of those three colors in this
adorable kit.  It has to take the title of the favorite kit I’ve made so far.  I just can’t wait for you
to see it in all of its glory on Tuesday!  Until then, though, here’s a little sneak peek:
Want a chance to win my newest release? If so, simply leave a comment on this post telling me what
YOUR favorite color is (be sure to leave your email address, so I can email your coupon if
you win!).  Your comment will earn you 1 entry into the drawing.  You can earn extra entries by
making a post to your Facebook, Twitter or Blog.  Simply leave a separate comment, with
corresponding links, for each entry.  All comments are due by noon CST Tuesday May 24th.
I’ll come back then and pick a winner at random.  🙂
