It’s been an incredibly rough few weeks (ok, maybe months) for my family. It seems like we just manage to get over one painful hump in the road when we’re bracing for the next one. We’ve had our strength and fight tested over and over again, and we’re trying so very hard to keep going, to keep fighting, to stay strong. But it’s hard. So very hard. Friends and family have helped greatly, though. Knowing that we’re not alone, that we have support and strength we can gain from others in our time of struggle helps.
Holding onto the pain and the fear sometimes feels like our only hope, because it feels like that pain is all we have left. But that’s not true. Whatever it is, you can get through it. Fight, don’t give up. It’s always worth the struggle. Sometimes you just need to have a good cry, let the tears fall and get back up. Stay strong. For those moments when you feel like you can’t catch a break, just remember, there is catharsis in the scrapping.
