It’s time for you to meet our next Blue Heart Scraps Team member — ME!

There are a few Amy’s on the Blue Heart Scraps CT, and we’ll be sure to introduce them all to you. I’m the one that works a bit more behind the scenes here on the blog and on Facebook.

So, let me tell you alittle more about myself:

Basic Bio:
I’m Amy (known as FamilyHistoryScrapper in the digital scrapbooking world). I’m 32 and an elementary school teacher, a job which I love. On a personal note, I’m getting married this summer!! I got engaged this past Christmas and will marry the man of my dreams this August! I cannot wait!

How long have you been on the Blue Heart Scraps CT?
I joined February 2012 as part of the Promo Team

Tell us about your scrapping experience: Did you ever paper scrap? When did you start digi-scrapping? How did you get started?
I did start out paper scrapping, many, many years ago. I still have tubs of supplies upstairs from Creative Memories and all types of other scrapbook companies. I never finished many albums in paper scrapping as it took so much effort to get all my supplies out all the time and I was always afraid to mess things up and not be able to fix them. Around 2007, my sister-in-law got me into Digital scrapbooking and from then I was hooked! I especially loved it for the ability to create amazing layouts with older, heritage photos. I scrapped for a good while and then took a break to help with family issues for awhile, but then returned with a fervor to digi-scrapping as I have a whole new world of things to scrapbook since I met my finance and we have lots of amazing times ahead of us in the future.

What program do you use?
PSP 9 (I so need to upgrade, but I know this program so well, I hate to have to start learning something new!!)

Can you share a tip or a piece of advice for your fellow digi scrappers out there?
Check out galleries to get inspired! I know that has really helped me to expand my abilities in digital scrapbooking. Also, find tutorials online….I even took a class on how to use my program to do scrapbooking things so I could learn more, yet every day I work on a layout I learn something new. My favorite things are the tips from others scrappers out there!

Tell us something different about you:
This might not be too ‘different’ considering my scrapbooking name, but I’m a huge family history buff! Since the time I was super little my mom took me with her to libraries and places to research family history. Once I was old enough, I just loved digging into the past and learning more about where my ancestors came from. There are days I wish I could travel back in time for a short visit and actually ‘see’ history in action for real!

What is your favorite layout you’ve made using Blue Heart Scraps products?

What is your favorite Blue Heart Scraps kit?
This is a hard one as I love them all, but if I had to pick one I’d say Fresh Picked, as it was the kit that first drew me to Blue Heart Scraps!

In honor of my getting to introduce myself to all of you, my favorite kit: Fresh Picked, will be on sale TODAY only for just $1. Hurry over to GingerScraps to pick up this great kit for just $1!
