To those Americans, near or far, who are celebrating today…I wish you a happy July 4th. May you have a lovely day with friends and family!

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year! Summer is in full swing around here, and it’s certainly not slowing any of us down. My youngest finished his summer baseball league play last week and has a month or so break before it’s time to think fall league play. My oldest has his first job (working in the bakery department at a local Publix), and I spend tons of time each week working in the garden, or prepping/fixing/canning its bountiful rewards.
All of that leads to another thing that has not slowed down this summer: LAUNDRY!

Happy Tuesday! It’s hard to believe the month is over half over with. I would comment on the fact that yesterday was the first day of spring…but considering it’s still well below freezing in the mornings around here, it’s not feeling overly “springy”. The boys and I started the yearly garden clean up last week, though, in preparation for this year. Now we just need the weather to warm up, just a tad (so, above freezing, lol), and we can get some fantastic tomatoes and peppers and potatoes and other fabulous plants in the dirt and growing!
