DSD New Releases & Chat Info!

DSD weekend is finally here and I am SO excited! 🙂  It’s not the sales (though, those are sure nice!), or the coupons, or the tons of great new releases and freebies.  It’s the atmosphere in the digital scrapbooking community.  The excitement, the enthusiasm – it’s contagious! (It’s the same way in the stores and malls on Black Friday…and the reason that’s the only day out of the year that I actually WANT to go shopping, lol!)  I have a TON of new goodies for you today, though…so grab a drink, sit back, and get ready to ‘ooh’ and ‘ahh’ at the beauty of it all, ok?  🙂

First up, a gorgeous new kit to celebrate the rich colors of fall.  Harvest your happy Fall memories! The beauty of Autumn never ceases to amaze, the falling leaves, the smells, the way family just naturally comes together a little bit closer. Celebrate it all with Happy Fall Y’all!. The simple joys in life are often the greatest.

Grab the Happy Fall Y’all kit, the matching flairs, journal cards and quickpages

Also new today, two new Commercial Use paper template packs:

I also have a fun new collab with Jennifer of Luv Ewe Designs!  What better way to celebrate your love for scrapbooking than with a scrapbooking kit! Whether you get your fingers messy with scissors and glue or relish the comfort and ease of your mouse and undo button, the Oh Scrap! collab kit is perfect.  The Oh Scrap! Collab comes with 28 papers, one alpha (uppercase, numbers, and some punctuation) and more than 80 elements for your scrapping convenience!

And the best thing about all of those new GingerScraps releases?  They’re 50% off!

*deep breath*  Are you done?  Because I’m sure not! 🙂

I’m excited about the opportunity to open up a guest store at BrownieScraps starting November 1st. (BrownieScraps is doing a Blog Hop for DSD – check out THIS POST for my portion!) For those of you following my designs for a bit know that this is actually returning to a store I was at once before. But, boy have things changed since I left! 🙂  BrownieScraps is not a template-only store (and the first of its kind that I know of).  The talent and inspiration at BrownieScraps is incredibly inspiring, and my fingers are just itching with ideas for fun new templates while I’m there!

In honor of my BrownieScraps guest store, and their DSD celebration, I have two template bundle releases for you this weekend…and trust me when I say, for the price I’m selling these, you do NOT want to miss out! 😀

This Doubled Up Template Bundle includes 3 packs of 24×12 inch double page layered templates.  Each template is provided in PSD, TIF and individual PNG files for your convenience.

This Rewind Template Bundle includes 3 packs of 2 (two) 12×12 inch layered templates.  Each template is provided in PSD, TIF and individual PNG files for your convenience.

And, each template bundle pack is on sale for just $2.00 EACH!  That’s right, $2.00!  Wow, right?  That’s just 33 cents a template page!

And, last but not least, join me in the GingerScraps chatroom this DSD weekend for a template scrap and chat.  I’ll provide you with a free template to create a layout with before the weekend’s up, and then we’ll spend the hour chatting! 🙂 Hope to see you there 🙂

BrownieScraps DSD Blog Hop!

I’m so excited about the opportunity to be guesting at BrownieScraps for the next few months!  As part of their DSD celebration, we present to you the BrownieScraps DSD Blog/FB Hop!  The BrownieScraps designers and I have prepared some great scrapping goodies for you!  With all the kits you’ll be picking up this weekend, you’ll want some amazing templates to help you with all the scrapping!  🙂

DSD weekend is nearly here, and it’s hard not to be excited (even though most of us have to find a way to get through the sugar rush tonight before we can even think of tackling the weekend).  I’ve been working hard to offer you tons of new goodies in honor of this weekend’s celebrations.  Below are a few sneak peeks of new goodies I’ll have in the store come Friday.  Take note, though, this is not all!  There’s still a few more hours of working time ahead of me.  🙂

Tuesday Treats Freebie!

Wow, October has just flown by!  Halloween is tomorrow night, and my boys couldn’t be more excited!  They’re doing zombie costumes this year (I blame it on the love their dad and I have for shows like The Walking Dead and the boys’ complete adoration for the game Plants Vs. Zombies).  Our two boys along with their adorable little friend are taking a Plants vs. Zombies approach to the night with a regular zombie, a jack in the box zombie and a conehead zombie.  And, biased as I am, I think they’re just about the three CUTEST zombies ever! 😀

Know what else starts soon?  DSD weekend!  I’ve been working my poor little fingers overtime the past week or so getting lots of great things ready for you to enjoy this weekend.  I’ll have a sneak peek post for you tomorrow, giving you a quick glimpse at some of the things I’m working on, but just know…there will be lots!  Lots of new releases, some freebies, some coupons, and chats!  I know the digital scrapbooking community will be overloaded with fun opportunities this weekend…but here’s hoping you spend at least a little of your time with me! 🙂

Today’s freebie is perfect for tomorrow’s Halloween celebration.  This adorable Facebook Timeline cover, created using my newest release, Ghoulish Delight, is sure to spotlight your adorable little ghosts and ghouls this Halloween in adorable fashion!

Layout Spotlight: Costume Parade!

Hello, hello! It’s Thursday (afternoon), which means I’ve got another layout to share with you!

Today I’d like to spotlight Costume Parade by Melissa (melissavt).

I love the paper stacking, and the way she used all the element pieces to cluster under the photos.

Melissa used Blue Heart Scraps Ghoulish Delight (and Blue Heart Scraps GingerScraps Challenge Template for October). Anyone who has seen any of my posts over the course of the last week know how much I love this kit.

What is especially awesome about it, is that right now it’s on sale!! Blue Heart Scraps entire store is 31% OFF until October 31st, so you don’t have any excuse to move Ghoulish Delight from your wishlist to your cart!  🙂

Make sure to leave some love in Melissa’s gallery and check out all the goods in Blue Heart Scraps shop while it’s all on sale!

Have a fantastic rest of the day, my friends!

Tuesday Treats, Freebie & Spooky Sale!

My husband and I took the books to Lyon Family Farm this weekend with some friends and boy did they have fun!  The animals to pet, the pig races to laugh at, the toys to play on and bouncy houses to enjoy – plus corn cob shooting, cow train, hay ride and pumpkin picking.  Ok, so maybe Kyle and I had just as much fun as the boys did!  🙂

Hopefully in a day or so, we’ll get our pumpkins carved (the husband’s been working a fair amount of overtime hours lately, and he’s FAR better at carving pumpkins than I am!) and be just about prepared for the sugar-fueled awesomeness of Halloween!  🙂

Before I get to today’s freebie, though, have you had an opportunity to check out Real Life Scrapped, yet?  It’s a fun, welcoming, scrapbookers community for us to connect with each other and share our knowledge.  They have a gallery stocked full of gorgeous community layouts, a fun forum, and every Monday a fun new Designer Focus post on their blog — a chance for you to get to know a little bit more about the people behind the designs you love.  This week’s Designer Focus is on me (awww, shucks!), and I’ve got a fun, exclusive freebie just for Real Life Scrapped readers.  If YOU aren’t a reader of RLS, then now’s the time to start! 🙂

(preview of the RLS exclusive freebie:)

In honor of that designer focus, and Halloween, I’m having a special sale on everything in my store.  From now through Halloween, you can save 31% off all my goodies!

Today’s freebie is a set of clusters made with my newest release, Ghoulish Delight.  I tell you, that kit has quickly become one of my absolute favorites of all time – it’s just so cute!!

Ghoulish Delight & Freebie!

My kids are so incredibly excited that Halloween is so close.  Each morning, they follow the same process – wake up, run to the calendar and count the number of days until Halloween will be here.  It’s exciting to see them enjoying the wait so much, so I hope the Halloween/Fall plans we have from now til the holiday meet their high expectations! 🙂  Today’s new release is a super adorable, super spooky kit that fits perfectly with their excitement (and when my boys caught a glimpse of the preview, they squealed with delight!)  🙂

It was a dark and stormy night…a positively Ghoulish Delight! Forget the tricks, it’s all treats: pumpkins, spiders and plenty of eeks! Perfect for little monsters and big ones, too. Ghoulish Delight will add a bit of that hocus pocus for all your ghost stories!

The Ghoulish Delight kit comes packed with 20 papers (8 plain, 12 patterned), 1 full alpha (uppercase, lowercase, numbers and some punctuation), and 80 elements for your scrapping pleasure. Also available are Ghoulish Delight Border Clusters, Ghoulish Delight Journal Cards, and Ghoulish Delight Stacked Papers:

Each product is on sale for 25% off all weekend long, OR, buy the bundle and save 50% off!

Thanks for the comments on Wednesday’s Sneak Peek Post.  I let Random.org pick a winner:

Congrats, Donna!!! 🙂  I’ll send you an email this evening letting you know how you can pick up a copy of Ghoulish Delight for free! 🙂

Last but not least, a gorgeous QP freebie created with Ghoulish Delight for all to enjoy.  My talented CT member Hildur rocked this one, didn’t she?  🙂

Layout Spotlight: gotta run!

The first time I saw this layout I loved it. I knew I had to spotlight it.

grrr! by Lisa is a totally awesome page which focuses on the words more than the photos. I absolutely love how she inserted the word strips and bits throughout the writing. Despite the focus on the writing, I do love her fun grrr! photos in the bottom left. They fit the flow and expression of the page.

You can do it Lisa!

Lisa used Blue Heart Scraps Stay Strong, a kit that is soon becoming a favorite.

Make sure you leave love for Lisa in the gallery, and upload your own Blue Heart Scraps layouts to the designer gallery! I As always, I love looking through the pages, not only is it inspiring but fun to see how you use Blue Heart Scraps kits in so so many different ways!

Keep scrapping friends and have a happy Thursday!

Wednesday Sneak Peek & Chance To Win! :)

I started off the morning nice and easy – got the oldest off to school, made breakfast for the youngest and myself, and started up the blog.  Typed up this sneak peek post, got everything ready to publish, and switched tabs in Firefox to create work on something else while I waited for 9am (I have a silly thing about times and numbers and…anyway, lol).  And then…..I politely forgot all about hitting publish on the blog.  Oops!  I sure do miss my mind since I lost it.  😉

I have a positively ADORABLE kit coming out on Friday.  Yes, I know I’m biased about the awesomeness of myself and my designs…but I’ve heard from others that it’s adorable, so it must be true!  🙂  And since it’s so adorable, I’m excited to show you a sneak peek AND give you a chance to win a copy of the new goodie for FREE!

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming:

If you would you like to win a copy of this new product for free, just leave a comment below by tomorrow night, Thursday October 18th, at midnight.  Make sure and leave your email address so that I can contact you if you are the winner. Your comment will earn you 1 entry into the drawing. You can earn extra entries by making a post to your Facebook, Twitter or Blog. Simply leave a separate comment, with corresponding links, for each entry.  I’ll will be back on Friday to announce the lucky winner!

Tuesday Treats Freebie!

Oh what a day it’s been!  The mornings have been chilly around here lately, as the weather finally begins to enter the fall season.  That means I spend the nights curled up like a burrito in the covers and whine each morning when the alarm clock goes off.  Some mornings are worse than others…and this morning was one of them.  I left the warmth of my bed and curled up on the couch under the mink blanket and enjoyed the same toasty warmth on the living room couch.  Of course, I also fell asleep and didn’t wake up until after school had started.  That means Tyler was 50 minutes late checking into his classroom, and I missed my first class this morning because we were starting the day nearly an hour late.  Oops!  :/

I hope your day has gone much better than mine so far.  But, if not, remember to keep your head up and keep pushing forward.  Life isn’t always easy, but it is worth the struggle.  That was the theme behind my latest release, Stay Strong (which I LOVE!).  And today’s freebie is a stacked paper created using Stay Strong:

Hope you download and enjoy! 🙂  There will be a fun sneak peek post in the morning, so be sure to check back then.  I happen to think this Friday’s release is A-flippin’-DORABLE, and you do NOT want to miss a chance to snag it for free! 🙂
